Hello! I am Travis Hyatt, pastor of the Church of God in Brandon, Florida. I'm so glad you stopped by today!
About ten years ago, I was working as a software developer and loving every minute of it. I thought that what I loved the most was creating great software. But my supervisor said something in an employee review that really opened my eyes. I learned that what I loved most was helping people create great software.
Over the next several years, God revealed His purpose for my life, and it extended far beyond my passion for well-written software! I found that my purpose--my calling in this life--is to help people. More specifically, God called me to help people discover God's purpose for their own life, and provide them with the spiritual guidance and continual nourishment from God's word that is necessary to realize that purpose.
I extend my warmest welcome to you--the individual reading these words at this moment--and I invite you to worship with us at your first opportunity. I can't wait to meet you face to face!
