Our congregation moved from Tampa to Brandon 30 years ago. Well established under faithful leadership, we continue to grow strong in faith, and God continues to add those who are saved to His church. Every week, different races, ages, and nationalities come together, worshipping God and testifying of His intervention in their lives. The preaching of God's word provides spiritual nourishment for those that hunger and thirst after righteousness.
We believe that the Bible is God's Holy Word, and that the Gospel of Jesus Christ has the power to deliver men and women from sin, enabling them to live a holy life in this present world. We believe that God will justify anyone who repents of their sins and asks for forgiveness, and that sanctification of the spirit brings power to resist sin every single day.
If you're looking for a church where the gospel of Jesus Christ empowers the believer to please God, you're well on your way. But don't take our word for it. Do as the people of Berea did two thousand years ago. Come and hear the preached word, receive its truth, and search the scriptures daily, to see whether these things be so.
We can't wait to meet you!

Sorrow and regret for anything done or said. It's not kneeling by the bedside every night and asking for forgiveness. Repentance is feeling so sorry for sinning against God that we turn away from doing sin.
Jesus and John the baptist started their ministries preaching repentance. There was no emphasis on joining a church. See Matthew 4:17 and Luke 3:3, 8.
To save from death, destruction, and the bondage of sin. It's Gods part of the redemption plan. We repent and turn away from sin, and he saves us from death and hell and keeps us from falling back into shameful behavior (sin).
The mission of Christ, in coming to the earth, was to save sinners. See Luke 19:10, and 1 Timothy 1:15
To make a person holy and set apart for Gods purpose. Sanctification is an instantaneous second work of grace for those who are saved and living free from sin. It empowers us to do God's will and not our own. A sanctified person lives a clean life.
Jesus prayed for his disciples--and us!--to be sanctified - see John 17:17. See also 1 Thessalonians 4:3.
Moral and spiritual perfection. Christ taught and commanded it. It is God's will that Christians live sin-free while in this world. The Holy Ghost abiding in the heart makes it possible.
1 Peter 1:15-16. Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy. See also 1 John 3:7-9 and 1 John 5:18.
Oneness and agreement with God and with God's children.
Christ died so that his church (the members) would be ONE, not divided. God saves men and women and brings them together as members of his body in perfect unity.
Unity is one of the fundamental teachings of Christ and a doctrine that is still lived and preached today.
Bible verses: 1 Corinthians 1:10 and Galatians 3:27-28
It's an ordinance that Christ taught and its for men and women who have been saved from their sins and are living a holy life.
Baptism by immersion doesn't save from sin but it is an act of public testimony that tells others a conversion has taken place in the heart and mind - there has been a new birth.
Only those who are saved and have shown fruit (or evidence) of a completely changed life can be candidates for baptism.
